Clarenville and Area Community Coalition for Mental Health and Wellness
What we do
The goal of the Clarenville and area Community Coalition for Mental Health and Wellness is to foster a healthy community for all citizens, encompassing positive mental health and wellness with a specific focus on suicide awareness, suicide prevention, suicide intervention and suicide postvention.
The coalition also does the following:
- Promotes mental health and addictions awareness with the goal of reducing stigma and improving quality of life
- Improves access to services through promotion of local services and identification of resource needs
- Develops a community action plan for addressing suicide through prevention, intervention and postvention strategies
