Geriatric Psychiatry

The geriatric psychiatry program is designed for people 65 years and over. The program provides inpatient, outpatient and long term care services through the acute care unit at the Waterford site, the Geriatric Day Hospital and outpatient psychiatry services located at the L.A. Miller Center and the Long-term Care unit at Pleasantview Towers. The program offers a full range of assessment and treatment for seniors related to the recovery and care of mental health and mental illness issues.

Geriatric intake coordinator
Provides assessment of 65+ who require mental health services
Geriatric psychiatry assessment unit
Inpatient unit for those 65+ or any age diagnosed with dementia
Geriatric continuing care unit
A residential environment for patients requiring enhanced care
Geriatric transitional and residential unit
For those transitioning to long term care or with complex needs
