Geriatric transitional and residential unit
What we do
Following a psychiatric assessment on the acute care unit, transitional patients can stay on the transitional and residential unit while they wait for long term beds. The unit, sometimes referred to as North 2A, also has residential beds for complex patients who are not suitable for long term care or another community setting.
Who we see
We usually see people aged 65 or older but this is not always the case.
